Caribbean adventures
The start of the year saw me inbound for some sunshine as I flew to Lanzarote to join The Famous Project Team for the 10th anniversary of the RORC Transatlantic Race from Lanzarote to Grenada. The trade winds were not at all established ahead of this race and some…
2023 – that’s a wrap!
The end of the calendar year provides us with an opportunity to review the past twelve months and look ahead to the next twelve. I know I have been very fortunate. I have really enjoyed 2023; and 2024 has the potential to be even better. The one thing that has hit…
Spectating, speaking and sunshine
This month I transitioned from sailor to spectator and a picked a great month to make the swap as there was so much action to follow on the water. The Transat Jacques Vabre was full of drama, starting with the storms that battered the English Channel and delayed most…

The Summer Solstice, and final month, of The Ocean Race has been packed full of drama. This six month quest of racing around the world has delivered as much excitement in the final few days as we have seen in the previous five months. The fleet arrived in Aarhus with…
Fast and fabulous
May has been a busy month and it feels that a great deal of change has taken place. It started in San Francisco, with the Season 3 finale of Sail GP. The conditions were perfect and the competition was tight for a place in the final 3 racing to win $1million. It was a…

I was delighted to make the most of being based at home for the month of April. It enabled me to maintain a regular physical training regime and manage my eating well so that I am ready for what lays in store for the month of May and beyond. It also provided the…
