Dee Caffari
Dee Caffari has sailed around the world six times. She is the first woman to have sailed single-handed and non-stop around the world in both directions and the only woman to have sailed non-stop around the world a total of three times.

Dee’s Diary
Olympic inspiration
What a start to summer July has been! The last month has been full of action, either engaging in it myself or watching it live. Of late, I have been watching the daily action unfold in Tokyo at the Olympics and have been losing hours to the riveting footage. The…
New faces and new races
At the beginning of June, I was given the opportunity to race in the Women’s Open Keelboat Championships on a Cape 31. As a new team sailing a new boat in a competitive regatta, it was going to be tough to deliver results. However, with the support of Dave Swete and…
We meet again
This merry month of May has not been quite so merry. Yes, we can celebrate restrictions lifting in the UK and being able to meet loved ones once again, however, the weather has been super harsh. I am not sure I remember the last time we had hail storms in the month of…

Merry Christmas one and all
I think we will all agree that 2020 has been a year with a difference and one we will all probably be willing to see the back of. We live in hope that the New Year will be happier, healthier and safer for everyone. The last year has been an emotional…
Light at the end of the lockdown tunnel
Throughout November I have heard many people say that they have not felt as much of a difference with lockdown#2 as they did with lockdown#1. Perhaps that is simply because we have all been living with restrictions of one form or another for such a long time now that…
Batten down the hatches…again
It’s been a wet and windy October for sure and, as I write this, it looks as though we are heading into yet another storm with a new lockdown announcement. As I look for the positives in this current situation, it is that we are all much better prepared to enter…
