Dee Caffari
Dee Caffari has sailed around the world six times. She is the first woman to have sailed single-handed and non-stop around the world in both directions and the only woman to have sailed non-stop around the world a total of three times.
In 2006 Dee became the first woman to sail solo, non-stop, around the world against the prevailing winds and currents and was awarded an MBE in recognition of her achievement.

A delivery like no other
We had 5000 miles to cover in just 18 days. The race yacht had achieved line honors in a classic offshore race and celebrations were taking place at 2200hrs until well into the early hours. Meanwhile, discreetly in the background, the boat was being prepared for…

It seems that this time of year is given over to Boat Shows. Time to check out new gear available on the market, see some new boat innovations and probably more importantly have chance to catch up with friends and colleagues. I have been fortunate enough to visit the…
Grabbing Opportunities As They Arise

New Skills
Last week I was able to be on the receiving end of knowledge transfer. I joined The Magenta Project for a week of near perfect conditions sailing on a GC32 foiling catamaran. OC Sport kindly gave us access to a boat to help provide an opportunity for female sailors to…
Rich Wilson
With just five months to go there is only one thing a certain 27 skippers are thinking about and that is the Vendée Globe. A race solo, non-stop and without assistance around the world departing Les Sables D’Olonne, France on Sunday 6th November. This is the 8th…
Three Peaks for Charity
